WCPT Mission

The World Confederation for Physical Therapy works to improve global health by:

Representing the physical therapy profession internationally;

Encouraging high standards of physical therapy research, education and practice;

Supporting communication and exchange of information among Regions and Member Organisations of WCPT;

Collaborating with international and national organisations

Objectives

• encourage high standards of physical therapy education and practice
• encourage communication and exchange of information
• encourage the development of associations of physical therapists and support the efforts of appropriate national organisations to improve the situation of physical therapists
• organise international congresses of physical therapists
• represent physical therapy internationally
• cooperate with appropriate national or international organisations
• comment on social and political issues affecting health
• do any and all lawful acts which may be necessary for the development of the Confederation
